Intelligent Machines - inSTREAM™ débuts on the BBC

Last night our cognitive learning technology inSTREAM™ featured on the BBC One Panorama documentary 'Could a Robot Do my Job?' with our customer Virgin Trains.

The Panorama documentary gave a balanced view of how Artificial Intelligence is impacting upon UK industry at the moment. The main question of the programme was whether Ai technology is and could take away jobs from people. In our opinion, the perspective provided from Virgin Trains, creates a convincing argument against this.

inSTREAM relies on people for its success. As it is through collaboration with people that inSTREAM learns and develops. Virgin Trains is 'proof of the pudding' that this really is the case. Christian Clarke, Head of Customer Relations at Virgin Trains explains that our software enables his team to focus their attention on looking after customers and going the extra mile whilst the system takes care of the more monotonous, administrative elements.

The documentary offers an interesting insight into the current technology climate and what the future holds for UK industries. In our opinion, it is clear that Ai and inSTREAM are set to play a big part in it.
